Moong Dal Halwa is one of the best desserts made during Indian festivals. It is an essential part of the celebration of the festival.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 GMS 1) Khoya
  • 500GMS 2) Moong dal
  • Pinch 3) Cardamom powder
  • 400 GMS 4) Ghee
  • 150 GMS 5) Sugar
  • 500 ML 6) Water
  • 2 Tbsp 7) Wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup 8) Dryfruits ( almond, cashew, pistachio )

Instructions
 

  • 1) Soak moong dal for 1-2 hours. Take a grinder and make a paste of moong dal.
    500GMS 2) Moong dal, 500 ML 6) Water
  • 2) Take a pan, add ghee, and add two tablespoons of wheat flour with moong dalpaste. Keep stirring it till it turns light brown.
    400 GMS 4) Ghee, 2 Tbsp 7) Wheat flour
  • 3) Add khoya and sugar to it, as using sugar makes the dal paste thin again, socook it stirring continuously, till it returns to the pot and starts releasingghee.
    300 GMS 1) Khoya
  • 4) chopped dry fruit and garnish with cardamom powder repaired moong dal halwa.
    Pinch 3) Cardamom powder, 150 GMS 5) Sugar

Notes

If you use wheat flour with moong dal paste, then it becomes less sticky for the saucepan.
